The boat is in excellent condition and has been well taken care of and always covered when not in use. I believe that the max HP is a 40, which will really move that boat along. A hobie power skiff was made by the hobie people in the 1980's. As I understand it, it was designed as a 15' boat intended to be beach launched into the ocean- so the hull can absorb some pretty good chop, and the scuppers can let the water out the back about as fast as it comes in. I went ahead and got a standard size brass drain plug installed while the transom was off, the plastic one was practically irreplaceable and cheap feeling anyway. so must be a later model .. also the lenghth specs here are 15 feet vs. 15.2 feet and the draft is 8 vs. 7 inches?? I may take you up on it later in the year. Wave afterwave there are several pictures of hobie power skiffs on trailer in this forum, most of the trailers are set up with two carpet covered wood bunks .
